UK Expands Sanctions Against Russia, Targets 1707 Individuals & 340 Entities

The United Kingdom has updated its sanctions list to include a total of 1707 individuals and 340 entities, including commercial vessels, as part of its ongoing measures against Russia. 

This information was disclosed on the official website of the British Treasury Department, which hosts the comprehensive list spanning 353 pages, detailing sanctions on individuals, companies, institutions, government bodies, and ministries.

The recent update added the company "Ros Gaz Dobycha" and included 18 oil tankers and 4 gas carriers among the sanctioned vessels. Notable ships under sanctions now include the "Moskovsky Prospekt," "Suvorovsky Prospekt," "Marshal Vasilevsky," "Velikiy Novgorod," "NS Bora," "Atlas," "NS Arctic," "Callisto," "SCF Baikal," "SCF Samotlor," "Eastern Pearl," "Kudos Star," "S. Fidelity," "Startos Aurora," "Turbo Voyager," "Azure Celeste," "Varuna," "Sai Baba," "Artemis," "Antaeus," "Mulan," and "Everest Energy."

These vessels are now prohibited from entering UK ports and may face deregistration from the British shipping register. Additionally, providing technical assistance to these ships is banned, and captains and their deputies are authorized to detain any mentioned vessels.
