UAE's President, Ukrainian Counterpart Hold Phone Talks

United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received a phone call from his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

During the phone call, Zelensky expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the success of the mediation efforts that the UAE had recently made, which resulted in one of the largest prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of the crisis. 

The two sides also discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to enhance it, in addition to the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis and a number of issues of common interest.

Bin Zayed affirmed the UAE's position calling for dialogue to find diplomatic solutions to the Ukrainian crisis, and the keenness of his country to support all initiatives that would help to alleviate the humanitarian consequences of the crisis.

For his part, Zelensky expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the President of the UAE for the continuous humanitarian support that the UAE has provided to the Ukrainian people.
