United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed concern over the escalating situation in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, calling on all parties to de-escalate, cease hostilities, and pursue dialogue and peaceful means to resolve disputes.

In a statement issued on Wednesday and reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the protection of civilians, government facilities, and private property.

The Ministry also emphasized the need for all parties to exercise maximum restraint in order to overcome the current crisis.

The statement reaffirmed the UAE’s consistent stance in support of resolving the conflict in Libya and its full backing for efforts that safeguard the country’s security, stability, and unity.

UAE also reiterated its support for the outcomes of the political roadmap, UN Security Council resolutions, and the ceasefire agreement, all aimed at fulfilling the Libyan people’s aspirations for development, peace, and prosperity.
