UAE's Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation revealed, Tuesday, the official logo of COP28. The logo will represent the visual theme and identity of the upcoming worldwide summit hosted between November 30 and December 12.
The logo resonated with different concepts like the shape of the ball in two degrees of green reflected the concept of one world. In addition, there are various symbols of technology and renewable energy, wildlife elements, nature, natural resources, and creativity.
In addition, it gave a reminder to countries to have urgent action on the ongoing climate change and its impacts.
It also underscored that Cop28 is a summit for all, including public and private sectors, scientists and civil society, women, and youth.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, President of Cop28 and UAE's Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, said: "We live in one world, a world where we need to collaborate and co-operate like never before to make the transformational progress needed to reach the Paris Agreement."
He added: “Cop28 will be a Cop for action and a Cop for all, bringing together the global north and south and leaving no one behind. Cop28 in the UAE will seek to find global consensus so that we can go further and faster and move from goals to getting it done.”
