The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense announced that the country faced a deliberate Iranian ballistic missile attack on Saturday. UAE air defenses successfully intercepted several incoming missiles.

Authorities reported that missile debris struck a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and the death of one person of Asian nationality.

The Ministry confirmed that the overall security situation in the country remains under control, with relevant agencies monitoring developments around the clock.

The UAE strongly condemned the attack, emphasizing its firm rejection of targeting civilian sites, national infrastructure, and institutions. Officials described the strikes as a serious escalation and a cowardly act that threatens civilian safety and undermines regional stability.

The Ministry stressed that the attack constitutes a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law, and that the UAE reserves the full right to respond to this escalation and take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, and residents, ensuring security, stability, and national interests.

Authorities affirmed their readiness to respond decisively to any threat and reiterated that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is the top priority. The public was urged to rely solely on official sources and avoid sharing unverified information or rumors.
