UAE President, US Secretary of State Discuss Gaza Conflict

United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken the top priority of ensuring the full protection of civilians in Gaza. 

They also undelined the need to open urgent humanitarian corridors to deliver medical and relief assistance to the Gaza Strip, in addition to an immediate halt to all forms of escalation.

The meeting also stressed the importance to intensify regional and international diplomatic efforts to contain the situation and prevent the escalation of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the outbreak of more violence and crises in the region, in light of the developments in the situation and its serious repercussions.

The two sides also discussed the importance of working to find a clear political horizon to ensure the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace that will consolidate regional security and stability, stressing their common commitment to promoting stability and prosperity in the Middle East region. 

They reviewed the relations of strategic cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to develop it in various fields in a manner that serves their common interests.
