UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Paraguayan President Santiago Peña discussed on bilateral ties over phone.
During the phone call, both leaders discussed various aspects of relations between the two countries and opportunities to develop and advance cooperation, especially in the economic, investment, development, renewable energy, food security, technology, climate action, and other vital areas that support sustainable development in the two countries and serve their common interests.
Moreover, both sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to the importance of cooperation and strengthening efforts to achieve stability, development, and prosperity in the world to ensure building a better future for all.
The call also touched on the importance of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28), which is scheduled to be hosted by UAE at the end of this year, and the opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two countries in this regard.
In addition, the two leaders highlighted the need to intensify international collective action and solidarity to address the challenges of climate change and its repercussions at all levels.
