UAE praises efforts of Egypt, Qatar to achieve ceasefire in Gaza

The UAE praised the mediation efforts undertaken by Egypt and Qatar to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, expressing its hope that ithese efforts would result in a truce that would lead to an end to the war, and contributing to consolidating the foundations of stability and achieving sustainable security in the region.

In a statement today, Wednesday, reported by the Emirates News Agency, WAM, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli military operation in the Palestinian Rafah, any forced displacement of the Palestinian people, and practices that violate the resolutions of international legitimacy and international and humanitarian law, warning of the consequences of the military escalation that threatens the innocent people.

The Ministry stressed the importance of the negotiations to achieve a two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state, push towards creating a serious political horizon to resume negotiations to achieve comprehensive peace, end tension and violence, protect the lives of civilians, and make all efforts to facilitate the flow of urgent humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip through safe corridors.
