UAE Orders Air Bridge for Morocco After Earthquake

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, issued his instructions to organize an air bridge for urgent humanitarian aid to help our Moroccan brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake that occurred in some regions of Morocco.

This initiative aims to provide various forms of support during this difficult period.

The Emirates News Agency, WAM, stated that this initiative falls within the framework of the strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Morocco, with the aim of strengthening efforts to address the crisis, and reflects the state’s approach to solidarity and support for nations and peoples. Especially in difficult circumstances.

The United Arab Emirates expressed its condolences and solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco following the earthquake that struck southwest of Marrakesh, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries.

In a statement today, Saturday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the Moroccan government, the Moroccan people, and the families of the victims affected by this painful event. The ministry also expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Moroccan Ministry of the Interior reported that the death toll from the earthquake that occurred last Friday, whose epicenter was in the Al Haouz region near Marrakesh, rose to 632 dead and 329 injured.
