UAE Offers Condolences to Ecuador, Peru over Earthquacke Victims

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) expressed its condolences and solidarity with Ecuador and Peru for the victims of the earthquake that struck the two countries.

In a statment, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its sincere condolences to the governments and peoples of Ecuador, and Peru, and to the families and relatives of the victims, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.

On Saturday, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center said an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck the coast of Ecuador leaving at least 4 dead and a number of injuries and destruction.

According to the center, the earthquake was recorded at 17.12 UTC, and the epicenter is located 59 km from Guayaquil, one of the largest cities in Ecuador, and at a depth of 80 km.

People ran in the streets of the city, as the strong earthquake, and aftershocks with a 6.5 magnitude were recorded at a depth of 44 km in western Ecuador, and the earthquake was felt in some parts of Guayas province.
