UAE, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya Hail Saudi Role in Evacuating Nationals from Sudan

On Monday, the UAE, Lebanon, Yemen, and Libya commended the role played by Saudi Arabia in evacuating its citizens and other foreigners from Sudan in the wake of the ongoing clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a phone call to his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to convey his country's gratitude.

Caretaker Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib also made a phone call to Prince Faisal to thank the Saudi leadership for facilitating the evacuation of the Lebanese from Sudan and for the warm reception he received in Jeddah before their return to their homes.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry praised Saudi Arabia's role in evacuating 105 Libyans from Port Sudan to Jeddah.

The Yemeni Embassy in Khartoum expressed its gratitude to the Kingdom for its assistance in evacuating its citizens from Sudan.

Saudi Arabia began evacuating its citizens and nationals of other countries from Sudan under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister.
