The United Arab Emirates has announced a complete ban on the operation of all drones and light sport aircraft due to exceptional circumstances in the country.
The decision was announced Tuesday by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, which said the measure applies to all types of unmanned aerial vehicles and recreational aircraft.
In a statement, the authority confirmed that the operation of drones and light sport aircraft is strictly prohibited until further notice.
Officials stressed that compliance with the decision is mandatory and warned that violations could result in legal action.
Authorities did not provide additional details on the circumstances behind the ban but emphasized the importance of adhering to aviation safety regulations during the current situation in the UAE.
