The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received a phone call on Monday from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and key regional developments.
The call reviewed avenues for strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Turkey across various sectors, with an emphasis on advancing shared development priorities and mutual interests. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and joint action.
Regional and international issues were also addressed, with particular focus on efforts to deal with the humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip. The two leaders stressed the importance of preserving the ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian and relief assistance in sufficient quantities to ease the suffering of civilians.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Erdoğan also underlined the need to move decisively toward a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, describing it as the only viable path to regional stability, security, and a more hopeful future for all peoples of the region.
