The Russia Today ( RT) channel correspondent in Iraq reported today, Friday, that the Harir base, where American forces are located, was attacked by two drones.
The reporter stated that two drones targeted the base located in Erbil, the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
He added that the attack was launched by armed Shiite factions that had previously threatened to target American bases because of what they called "the United States' support for Israel against Gaza."
The reporter pointed out that it has not yet been confirmed whether there were human casualties.
In the same context, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced yesterday that the American “Ain al-Assad” base in Anbar was targeted by a missile attack. It confirmed that the missiles hit their targets directly and accurately.
It said in a statement: “This evening, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the American occupation base in western Iraq, Ain al-Assad, with a missile salvo, which hit its targets directly and accurately.”
