The family-Ramadan-based TV series “Ramadan Kareem” has been renewed for season 3.
In a statement, producer Ahmed El Sobky noted production of the third season of “Ramadan Kareem” has been postponed until 2025 after the writing of the script is complete.
The first season of “Ramadan Kareem“ premiered in 2017 with a cast that includes Ruby, Sherif Salama, Mahmoud El Gendy, Sayed Ragab, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Ruby, Sherif Salama, Karim Afifi, Salwa Othman, Sabry Fawaz, Mohamed Mahmoud, Sahar Al Sayegh, Mohamed Lotfy, and others.
The series was written by Ahmed Abdullah and directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz.
“Ramadan Kareem” sheds light on the daily lives of people living in Egypt, their habits, fasting rituals, iftar practices, and suhoor meals during the holy month.
The series also addresses many societal issues, such as poverty, social class discrimination, deception, and hypocrisy.
The second season was renewed in 2021, with Ahmed Abdullah, Sameh Abdel Aziz, and most of the main cast returning.
The series screened last year and witnessed new events from the original series. The two parts are connected by occurring during the holy month of Ramadan.
Especially since the makers of the work decided to add many outlines to the events because they wanted to present a second part different from the first season.
It featured the return of original cast members such as Sayed Ragab, Sabry Fawaz, Mohamed Lotfi, Naglaa Badr, Ahmed Siam, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Amr Abdel Aziz, and Karim Afifi.
The new season also introduced new faces such as Salwa Khattab, Wizo, Bayoumi Fouad, Samy Maghawry, Badria Tolba, and Ismail Farghali.
