"Obi-Wan Kenobi" lead Ewan McGregor announced the upcoming Disney+ limited series has wrapped filming.

The actor shared the news on Sunday as he attended the Primetime Emmys, which saw him receiving the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his role in "Halston".

“We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow," he stated.

"I think it will not disappoint. I think it is gonna be good. I had a really good time making it and worked with some really wonderful people, lovely people. The new technology we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.” McGregor added.

A project seeing McGregor reprising his beloved role of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was rumored for years before it was confirmed as a series at Disney’s D23 event in 2019.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set 10 years after the events of the 2005 movie “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith“, which featured Obi-Wan (McGregor) facing his former padawan, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), who got corrupted by the Dark Side.

The movie ended with the famous Jedi taking newborn twins Luke Skywalker and Lea Organa into hiding.

It will also witness the return of Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Owen and Beru Lars.

The series will also feature a host of new faces, including Indira Varma, Moses Ingram, Simone Kessell, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, Benny Safdie, and O’Shea Jackson Jr.

No release date has been announced for the series.
