Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that about 20 million people were affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria last week .
He added, in a video message to the World Summit of Governments held in the Emirates today, Tuesday, that the earthquake has left more than 81,000 injured so far, and a large part of them have left hospitals after receiving treatment.
The Turkish president indicated that this disaster clearly showed the importance of global solidarity, expressing his thanks to all the "friendly and brotherly" countries that extended a helping hand and supported Turkish relief efforts in the face of the effects of the earthquake.
