Turkish Amb. Congratulates Al Arish Port Leadership, Highlights Aid Mission to Gaza

The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, extended his sincere congratulations to Major General Mohammed on his promotion from Director General of Al Arish Port to Director General of the Ports Authority.

Ambassador Mutlu Şen also congratulated Mr. Ihab on assuming his new position as Director General of Al Arish Port, expressing confidence in his leadership and dedication.

On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed his appreciation to Major General Mohammed and his team for their ongoing support to Turkish vessels and humanitarian field teams operating in the region.

“We stand together, shoulder to shoulder, in this vital cause,” he affirmed.

Ambassador Mutlu Şen announced that Turkey’s upcoming humanitarian shipment will soon arrive via the Mediterranean Sea, accompanied by Ambassador Mehmet Güllüoğlu, who recently took office as the Humanitarian Aid Coordinator for Palestine.

Reflecting on his recent visit, the Ambassador shared his fondness for the city of Al Arish and its welcoming spirit.

“I have deeply missed the beloved city of Al Arish, our friends there, and the warmth of its atmosphere — from the delightful simplicity of Basata Restaurant and its delicious seafood, to the charming ambiance of Tulip Café,” he said.

Ambassador Mutlu Şen, together with Ambassador Mehmet Güllüoğlu, traveled to Al Arish, located in Egypt’s North Sinai Governorate near the border with Gaza, to oversee the arrival of the Turkish humanitarian vessel via the Mediterranean.

Concluding his remarks, Ambassador Mutlu Şen extended his best wishes to Ambassador Güllüoğlu for success in his mission, saying he prays that “he may be granted strength and wisdom in carrying out this noble humanitarian task.”
