Tunisia experienced a sudden power outage last night that affected various regions of the country.

According to the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas, the power outage encompassed the entire country, with the causes remaining unknown.

The director of communications at the Tunisian Company denied the accuracy of reports circulating about an explosion at the "Radès" power station, confirming that technical teams are working to restore electricity.

In response to the power outage early Wednesday morning, Minister of Interior Kamal El-Faqi visited the Radès power complex to determine the reasons for the malfunction, as stated in a press release by the Ministry of Interior.

Videos circulated on social media showing an explosion and a fire, presumably at the "Radès" power station, before darkness enveloped different areas.

Later, "Mosaïque FM" radio quoted Moncef El-Gaberi, the director of cooperation and communication at the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas, saying that electrical power is gradually returning in some areas, with work ongoing to restore power across the entire network.
