The US President's Special Envoy to Africa, Massad Boulos, called on the warring parties in Sudan to agree to a three-month humanitarian truce, describing the current situation in Sudan as the world's largest humanitarian crisis.

Trump's envoy stated that the war in Sudan has caused the world's largest humanitarian crisis and condemned the unacceptable atrocities.

Boulos said, "From a humanitarian perspective, the conflict in Sudan is currently the world's largest humanitarian crisis and the world's largest humanitarian catastrophe. This is especially true of what has happened in El Fasher over the past two or three weeks. We have all seen these videos and reports. These atrocities are absolutely unacceptable. This must stop very quickly."

Massad Boulos indicated that the United States and its mediation partners are calling on both sides to agree to a three-month humanitarian truce. He said, "We urge them to accept this proposal and implement it immediately."
