The U.S. President Donald Trump expressed deep concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, describing conditions in the besieged Palestinian enclave as “very horrific”.

In his remarks, Trump emphasized the urgent need for food aid to reach those in need. “We hope food gets to the people who deserve it,” he said, highlighting the severity of the humanitarian crisis.

Trump also revealed that “many countries” have contacted him to explore ways to assist Gaza, suggesting growing international momentum to respond to the worsening conditions in the territory.

He further stressed that food distribution centers in Gaza “will be open without restrictions,” signaling a call for unhindered humanitarian access amid ongoing hostilities.

Commenting on Israel’s role, Trump affirmed that the country bears “a major responsibility” in ensuring the flow of aid into Gaza, pointing to the critical influence Tel Aviv holds over border crossings and delivery mechanisms.

The remarks come as international agencies continue to warn of famine-like conditions in Gaza, exacerbated by restricted access, continued displacement, and a collapsing healthcare system.
