Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump said that he spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "two days ago" on the latter's visit to the United States.

Trump made these statements in an interview with Fox News, and Trump added, “The meeting happened about two days ago, and Netanyahu came to my house in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, with his wife, who was friendly.”

The former president received Netanyahu at his resort in Palm Beach, Florida, last July.

Trump said in the interview, "I can tell you that (Netanyahu) is very strong. He does not listen to Biden."

Trump also described the lack of contact between President Joe Biden and Netanyahu for nearly two months as “pathetic,” as the last contact between the US President and the Israeli Prime Minister was last August before the call they made last Wednesday to discuss tensions with Iran.
