US President Donald Trump said that good news will soon be released regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, noting that his special envoy, Witkoff, informed him that an agreement on Gaza is very close.
In another context, Trump attacked some major media networks, most notably CNN, for questioning accounts regarding the destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities, describing these reports as "false" and saying, "Shame on them."
Trump emphasized in a press conference on the sidelines of the NATO meeting in The Hague that the US military strike ended the war between Iran and Israel, considering it "decisive and similar to what the United States did in World War II when it bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki."
He added that this military action was necessary "to impose stability and force Tehran to return to the table," stressing that any agreement in the region "will not be possible without decisive action that reshapes the balance."
