U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump expressed his support for Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon during a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this October.
According to The Washington Post, citing six sources familiar with the call, Trump told Netanyahu to "do what you need to do." Trump stated he spoke with Netanyahu at least twice in October, with one of the calls taking place on October 19.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham added, "He (Trump) didn’t instruct him on what to do militarily but expressed his admiration for Operation Pager," referring to Israel's operation in September that involved detonating thousands of pager devices in Beirut.
