Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will meet to settle a decade of hostility between the two nations, according to the top diplomat for Turkey on Saturday.
Speaking with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated that Ankara aimed to "establish diplomatic relations between the two nations at the highest level" while in Cairo.
The presidents of our two countries, according to Shoukry, have a political desire to endeavour to normalise relations.
Cavusoglu's visit follows a trip by Shoukry to Turkey last month to offer solidarity following the terrible earthquake that claimed tens of thousands of lives in Turkey and neighbouring Syria.
We may disagree in the future, but Cavusoglu promised that they will make every effort to keep their relationship intact.
