Gulf nations have secured the top positions in global mobile internet speed rankings, according to the latest Speedtest Global Index data for June–July 2025, highlighting the region’s rapid advancement in 5G infrastructure and digital connectivity.
The United Arab Emirates leads the world with an average mobile internet speed of 546.1 Mbps, making it the fastest country globally. Close behind is Qatar, ranking second worldwide with 517.4 Mbps, reinforcing the Gulf’s dominance at the top of the chart.

While South Korea and China continue to be global technology leaders, their mobile internet speeds now trail behind several Gulf and emerging market economies. Saudi Arabia, despite ranking ninth, remains one of the fastest markets globally and continues to expand its nationwide 5G coverage.
