he depends in his stories on history and imagination, some of his stories revolve in the years after the Second World War, while some revolve around time travel and space trips.

His more human stories tell about an immigrant from Eastern Europe arriving in New York City after the civil war in his country tore his family And his life.

The main plots revolve around a woman trying to cope with life in a new neighborhood after her porce; a veteran who participated in the Second World War deals with his physical and emotional scars; a columnist in a small town newspaper records his antique ideas about the contemporary world and four friends travelling to the moon and return aboard a spacecraft they created in the backyard.
