Hollywood star Tom Cruise, who is known for his daring stunts on the “Mission: Impossible” movies, is set to carry his daring mission in 2021.
Cruise, 58, will board the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on its scheduled October 2021 trip to the International Space Station, according to Space Shuttle Almanac.
The Space Shuttle Almanac tweeted a graph of the upcoming planned launches to the ISS complete with crew manifests.

It had been announced earlier this year that Cruise had teamed up with SpaceX founder Elon Musk and NASA to make a movie aboard the ISS.
On May 6, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine revealed on social media that the actor wishes to shoot a movie above the clouds, particularly, onboard the International Space Station.
“NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station! We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.” Bridenstine tweeted on Twitter.
It will be the first narrative feature film to be shot in space.

Cruise is currently filming the latest installment of his long-running "Mission Impossible" franchise.
The seventh installment in the hugely successful franchise was one of the first to be hit by delays caused by the pandemic when its Venice film set was shut by the Italian government days before filming was due to start in February.
"Mission Impossible 7" resumed shooting with new precautions in place in August.
Cruise is reprising his role as the seemingly indestructible globe-trotting secret agent Ethan Hunt in real life as well as in the seventh and eighth follow-ups of the hugely successful franchise “Mission Impossible”.
Under the working title of “Libra,” “Mission: Impossible 7” is the latest in a line for the highest-grossing movie franchises for the Paramount Pictures franchise.
The movie is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and starring Rebecca Ferguson, Nicholas Hoult, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, and more.
“Mission: Impossible 7” was scheduled to arrive on July 21, 2021, but will now hit theaters on November 19, 2021.
Meanwhile, “Mission: Impossible 8” was pushed back from its August 5, 2022 date and will instead debut on November 4, 2022.
