Today marks Columbus Day, which is immensely significant in the history of American territories.

On this date every year, American citizens celebrate this special day by coming together and by thanking Christopher Columbus for bringing them the prosperity that they are enjoying today, and his dedicated efforts, as well as the invaluable contributions that he had made to humankind through his excavations trips, especially the new world excavation.

However, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the day holds a special significance considering the fact how the descendants of Columbus' men are working round the clock to help the country fight the recent world issues.

Traditionally, this special and historical day brings a day of festivities in New York City, Denver, Alabama, and many other cities across the USA, and these parades have taken place for over 500 years, ever since Columbus' fleet of three ships docked in the other undercover territory.

Under the auspices of the Queen of Spain Isabella I, three of Columbus' ships decided to arrive at an island in the Caribbean, which he called San Salvador Island, after a member of his 90-person crew spotted land, which is part of the Bahamas.

It's worth mentioning that the first recorded celebration of Columbus Day in the USA was on October 12, 1792, which coincided with the 300th anniversary of Columbus' landing, and it was organized by the Society of St Tammany, also known as the Columbian Order.
