Today day marks the 570th birth anniversary of the iconic Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, who is widely revered as one of the greatest artists of all time and most persely talented person to have ever walked the earth.

To honor Leonardo da Vinci's birthday and celebrate his talent, several art exhibitions of his creative artworks have been shown in different territories.

On this special day every year, people and art institutions across the two spheres organize a series of marvelous activities to mark the Italian artist’s birthday in April, including the shows of the Mbombela municipal art museum in South Africa.

Moreover, some people in Latin America held outdoor art exhibitions with paintings, sculptures, prints, and more, as well as a Florentine cooking demonstration in honor of Da Vinci

They also take this occasion to celebrate World Art Day which was decided in honor of the birthday of da Vinci, who was chosen as a symbol of world peace, freedom of expression, tolerance, brotherhood, and multiculturalism as well as art’s importance to other fields.

The day was declared in 2012 by the International Association of Art, a partner of UNESCO.

This annual celebration aims to promote the development, diffusion, and enjoyment of art, according to UNESCO.
