Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Washington, D.C., on the eve of US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, voicing opposition to his upcoming policies.

The demonstration, dubbed the "People’s March," saw participants marching through downtown, passing the White House, and heading toward the Lincoln Memorial along the National Mall.

The rally attracted activists from various movements, including women's rights, racial justice, and civil liberties groups.

Demonstrators voiced concerns over potential threats to their constitutional rights under Trump’s administration, particularly in the context of his anticipated second term.

While organizers had projected an attendance of over 50,000, the actual turnout was notably smaller. Trump’s inauguration is set to take place on January 20.
