Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians from Gaza city and residents of the outskirts of Khan Yunis continue to head towards the southwest of Khan Yunis and the city of Rafah in the southern part of the Strip, after being warned by the Israeli army of an attack on the areas they are located in, after about two months of war.
According to the Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades, Khan Yunis is currently besieged from the east and northwest, while fierce clashes are taking place on the axis of Deir al-Balah Salah al-Din and near the mills of Khan Yunis and in the towns of Bani Suheila and Al-Qarara.
About 35,000 to 40,000 of the displaced people who fled from the eastern areas of Khan Yunis left schools and hospitals and headed towards Rafah, the last area in the Gaza Strip on the Egyptian border, with Israeli tanks about 1500 meters away from Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, according to a correspondent for AFP.
The displaced people set up tents in the streets of Al-Mawasi neighborhood west of Khan Yunis in the rain, while the sound of Israeli marches could be heard above their heads.
Women lay on the sandy ground, and young men brought piles of tree branches to use as fuel for cooking.
Donkey-drawn carts and cars were seen heading towards Rafah, and a large truck with a tractor transported displaced children and women from Jabalia to Rafah.
