The Great Transfiguration

The Great Transfiguration Project in St. Catherine is a great tourism project on the land of civilizations, Egypt. It emphasizes the greatness of Egyptian history and the holiness of the land of Sinai throughout ages. We have been waiting it's inauguration for years... so that it will be a message from Egypt's Sinai to the world to adopt the option of peace. 

This week, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly visited the project and inspected the work there. The Great Transfiguration Project is a huge tourism project on the Land of Peace in Sinai.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is following up this project, giving directions to be consistent with the status of that unique sacred spot in the land of Egypt, and to present it to humanity and the peoples of the world in an optimal manner, in appreciation of its great spiritual value that stems from being an incubator for the three heavenly religions. The Great Transfiguration Mountain Project aims to stimulate religious tourism in Egypt and preserve the sanctity and spirituality of the place.

The Grea Mountain of Transfiguration is one of the spiritual areas with a picturesque nature and spiritual manifestations that bring about reassurance in the soul, especially since it is the only point in the world where God Almighty revealed His greatness to Moses, peace be upon him.

The South Sinai region is home to the most important tourist attractions and is visited by a large number of people from all over the world. St. Catherine has a large number of great religious shrines. Through the Great Mount of Transfiguration project, Egypt targets one million tourists annually, making the city of St. Catherine one of the world capitals of religious tourism.

The project costs about 4 billion pounds to become one of the most important religious tourism projects in the world. It brings goodness to Egypt. It brings more than a million tourists annually. It also provides more than 3,000 job opportunities and includes 14 different and diverse components to provide an ideal environment to attract tourists.

The beginning was when the city of Sharm El-Sheikh won the award of the best sustainable Arab tourist city for the year 2023, then Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, announced to the world the opening of the Great Transfiguration Project in the city of St. Catherine next October. I am confident that the whole world is waiting for the great Transfiguration to become the greatest religious shrine and a major global tourist destination.
