Sending blessings upon our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, has many benefits for those who send blessings upon him, including:
1- Sending blessings upon the Prophet is compliance with the command of God and obedience to His Majesty who commanded to send blessings upon him by saying: “Indeed, God and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation (56) Surah Al-Ahzab.
2- Sending blessings upon the Prophet raises the status of the one who sends blessings upon him in Paradise and expiates his sins and misdeeds.
On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever sends blessings upon me once, God will send blessings upon him ten times, ten sins will be erased from him, and ten degrees will be raised for him.”
3- Praying for the Prophet is a reason for the servant's worries to be met, no matter what they are.
On the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), he said to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah, I pray for you a lot, so how much of my prayers should I dedicate to you?" He said: "Whatever you want." I said: "A quarter." He said: "Whatever you want, but if you increase it, it is better for you." I said: "Half." He said: "Whatever you want, but if you increase it, it is better for you." I said: "Then two-thirds?" He said: "Whatever you want, but if you increase it, it is better for you." I said: "Should I dedicate all my prayers to you?" He said: "Then your worries will be met and your sins will be forgiven."
4- Praying for the Prophet is a fulfillment of some of his many rights over his nation. The greatest good that we have received through him, and one of the simplest rights is frequent prayers and praise of him.
5- Praying for the Prophet is a reason for attaining the intercession of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
6- If a servant prays for the Prophet, Allah will pray for the servant and praise him in the highest assembly, and the more the servant prays, the more Allah will praise him.
7- The people closest to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of Resurrection will be those who pray for him the most.
On the authority of Ibn Mas`ud, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The people closest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who pray for me the most.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi
8- The servant’s prayers and peace are presented to the Prophet in his grave
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “There is no one who sends peace upon me except that Allah restores my soul to me so that I may return his peace.”
9- If a Muslim sends peace upon him, the angel says: “O Muhammad, so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, has just sent peace upon you.”
10- Praying for the Prophet is a reason for the supplication to be answered, so whoever supplicates to his Lord should pray for the Prophet at the beginning and end.
11- Praying for the Prophet is a reason for pleasant gatherings, and that it does not return as a regret to its people on the Day of Resurrection.
12- A reason for steadfastness on the straight path on the Day of Resurrection.
13- Allah brings the one who prays for His Prophet out of darkness into the light.
Allah the Almighty said: "It is He who sends blessings upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so], that He may bring you out from darkness into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful." (43)
14- Praying for the Prophet is a reason for the continuity of his love, its increase and multiplication, because the more the servant mentions his beloved, the more his love in his heart multiplies.
