Taylor Swift answered the prayers of her Swifties at the Grammy Sunday by announcing her next new album "The Tortured Poets Department" and when it will arrive.

While accepting the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Midnights", Swift took the stage and reminded the audience that it was her 13th gramophone.

“My lucky number, I don’t know if I ever told you that,” she said. “I know the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go post the cover right now. Thank you I love you!”

"Midnights", which was released in October 2022, is Swift’s 10th studio album. Upon its release, it became her fifth to sell over a million copies in one week.

Two songs from the album are up for Grammys tonight. “Anti-Hero” received nods for Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Song of the Year. “Karma” featuring Ice Spice was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

In all, Swift has received 52 Grammy nominations throughout her career.

The announcement follows a pattern she created since she started releasing re-records. She releases new music, then two re-records, followed by new music.
