The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, arrived in Egypt on Monday for a working visit, during which he is expected to hold talks with a number of Egyptian officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
According to the Russian Embassy in Cairo, Minnikhanov was received upon arrival at Cairo International Airport by Egypt’s Minister of Industry, Engineer Khaled Hashem.
As part of his visit, Minnikhanov toured a branch of Kazan Federal University in Cairo, located within a medical complex spanning approximately 10,000 square metres. During the visit, he was briefed on the academic facilities and discussed the institution’s educational system.
The Cairo branch currently offers programmes in general medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, with around 2,023 enrolled students. Plans are underway to expand the institution with the addition of new faculties in artificial intelligence and physiotherapy.
