Tamer Hosny to Star with El Esseily in Music Video, "Iktara"

Tamer Hosny's latest collaboration is with Mahmoud El Esseily. They are working together in Hosny's new music video, "Iktara", which will also be directed by him.

The music video is filmed in Alamein City, between the Al-Masa Hotel and a beach, ET bel Arabi reported, citing anonymous sources.

Iktara is the first is track to be filmed from his new album. It is by the lyrics of Ahmed Hassan Raul, and composed by Ahmed Zaim.

ET reported that Hosny is also set to star in a new film and TV series. He met days ago with poet and scriptwriter Ayman Bahjat Qamar, and director Yasser Sami for the new project.

On the other hand, Hosny also finished recently shooting his new film, “Mesh Ana” (This is not me).

It also stars Hala Shiha, Sawsan Badr, Maged El Kedwany, and others. The film is written by Tamer Hosny, directed by Sarah Wafik, and produced by production companies Synergy production and HS production.

“Mesh Ana” witnesses Shiha’s return to the big screen after 13 years of absence, as her last appearance was in 2006 film “Kamel El Awsaf” (Mr. Perfect).

The plot revolves around the psychological state of the protagonist, Hassan (Tamer Hosny), who has a very strong relationship with his sick mother (Sawsan Badr). He is always keen to hang out with her as long as possible as well as taking care of her, as she is the center of his universe.

The film’s production got suspended several times due to the coronavirus outbreak. It resumed shooting mostly in the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC), and in the streets of Wust El-Balad and Dokki.

“Mesh Ana” marks the first Egyptian film to be shot in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 42-year-old began also finished putting the soundtrack for his film by musician Adel Hakki. He also finished recording several tracks for the film such as “Qad Al-Faraq” and “Bi hobak”.

It is worth mentioning that Hosny, born on August 16, 1977, is an Egyptian singer, composer, actor, producer, songwriter, and author.

The 42-year-old began his career when renowned TV presenter “Salma Al Shamaa”, who gave him his lifetime opportunity to perform at the Cairo Opera House.

During his performance, he worked alongside other rising talents including, Sherine Mohamed Abdel-Wahab; the performance was attended by renowned producer ‘Nasr Mahrous’.

Ever since, he worked closely with Mahrous and released his first album, which consequently, achieved great success and opened the gates of stardom and fame, not only in singing but also in the entertainment industry.

He made his acting debut in 2004 film “Halet Hob”, co-starring Hany Salama, Hend Sabry, and others.

Hosny is known for singing “Kol Mara”, “Bent El Eh” and “Aktar Haga”, and for his roles in films “Omar and Salma” trilogy and “Captin Hema”.

He performed many shows in Egypt and other Arab countries, including Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Dubai, and Jordan.
