Syrian TV Anchor Arrested after Expelling Turkish Analyst during Talkshow

On Wednesday, the Turkish authorities arrested the director of the Syrian "Orient" channel, and the Syrian journalist, Ahmed Al-Rihawi, after he expelled a Turkish guest live during a TV talk show program broadcast.

In the details, a video of the episode of the "Tafaseel" talk show program was spread on YouTube, where Al-Rihawi begins by asking Oktay Yilmaz, a Turkish political analyst, about the violations of the Gendarmerie (Turkish Gendarmerie) on the border between Syria and Türkiye, after three people were killed.

After the question, the Turkish guest said, "I am surprised by this talk, and by these slanders," and asked, "By what right do you attack Türkiye in this way, when you live in Turkey?"

An argument began between the journalist and his guest, and Al-Rihawi asked him to leave the studio.
