On Tuesday, Syrian Christians celebrated the first Christmas and attended the Christmas Eve mass for the first time since the ousting of Bashar Al-Assad earlier this month.
This action came after protests sparked by the burning of a Christmas tree in Hama province.
The mass took place under security measures due to fears of violence targeting Christian sites, with light trucks belonging to the Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham group stationed around the church.
The church was filled with young and old attendees, holding candles and singing hymns, their voices echoing.
