Swiss International Air Lines has decided to extend the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 12 and will avoid flying over Iranian airspace until August 7.
In a statement reported by Swiss Radio "Lac" on Tuesday, the company said: "It is responding to recent events in the region, where concerns about a potential military escalation in the Middle East are increasing, following heightened threats in recent days from Iran and its allies against Israel, which is accused of assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday in Tehran."
The company also clarified that flights have not flown over Israeli and Iraqi airspace since last Friday and that flights to and from Beirut will remain suspended until Monday, August 12.
