Sudan's Central Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday that inflation rose to 193.94% in July, from 136.67% in the first half of the year.
The data was the first inflation data published for the country since the outbreak of war in April 2023, which has devastated the economy and displaced a fifth of the population.
Inflation in February, the last reported annual inflation rate, was 63.3%, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
In July 2024, Sudan's Central Bureau of Statistics said that the country's inflation rate jumped to 136.67% in the first half of 2024.
Much of the population relies on aid, and about five million people are suffering from severe hunger.
