The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed on Saturday its commitment to the decisions of the African Union regarding the disputes between Sudan and Ethiopia over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
During meeting African Union's envoy to Sudan Mohamed al-Hassan Ould Labat, the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, stressed the importance of dialogue and negotiation to reach a binding agreement, adding that Khartoum will abide by the decisions of the African Union regarding the inherited borders with Ethiopia.
For his part, Ould Labat pointed out to the need to reduce tension between Khartoum and Addis Ababa, noting that the military solution does not serve the two countries interests.
