American actor Steven Seagal has joined a pro-Kremlin party supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin, the party said.
Seagal, who holds the Russian citizen since 2016, received a party membership of "Just Russia - Patriots - For Truth" on Saturday, proposing a ban on businesses which damage the environment.
He said that 'without being able to arrest people, when we just fine them, they are probably making more money of the production of the things that are defiling the environment'.
The party, which controls a small portion in the lower house of the Russian parliament, plans to take part in the next parliamentary election.
