20th Century Studios unveiled Wednesday new footage from the film adaptation of Stephen King’s "The Boogeyman".

The horror-thriller is based on a story featured in King’s 1978 horror anthology, "Night Shift".

Filmmaker Rob Savage directed the movie from a screenplay adapted by "A Quiet Place" scribes Scott Beck and Bryan Woods as well as Mark Heyman.

The movie stars Chris Messina, Sophie Thatcher, Vivien Lyra Blair, David Dastmalchian, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and others.

"The Boogeyman" follows a 16-year-old high school student Sadie Harper and her little sister Sawyer, both still reeling from the death of their mother. Devastated by his own pain, their father Will, a therapist, gives them neither the support nor the affection that they try to claim from him.

They are targeted by a supernatural entity after a desperate patient shows up unexpectedly at their house asking for help, bringing in a terrifying entity that preys on the families and feeds on their greatest suffering.

The movie was shot in New Orleans in the winter of 2022 and is produced by 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen.

“The Boogeyman” will hit theaters on June 2. Before the film hits theaters across North America, it will be hosting a screening at CinemaCon 2023, on April 26, at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
