Spanish cultural advisor in Cairo, Candido Cris, affirmed that Egypt and Spain enjoy strong relations and historical cooperation, especially in the cultural aspect.
In exclusive remarks to Middle East News Agency (MENA) Chris said that Egypt has an key and decisive role at the regional level in the cultural field, pointing to the importance of the exhibition "Inspection Trips to Archaeological sites in Upper Egypt and Edward Toda Archive,” which was held in Alexandria Bibliotheca, in the presence of a number of diplomats and specialists.
On his part, Director of Antiquities Museum at Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Supervisor of Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology, Archaeologist Dr. Hussein Abdel Basir, confirmed that Egypt is a pivotal country and possesses the tools that enable it to lead regionally and globally, adding, “Egypt is witnessing, during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, unprecendented interest in the field of archeology."
