Spain has expressed its rejection of any attempt to displace the people of Gaza, and Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said from Brussels: "We have a clear position, the people of Gaza must remain in Gaza, and Gaza is part of the future Palestinian state."
The Spanish newspaper El Mundo indicated that Albares proposed to the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council to deploy a European mission at the Rafah crossing to support the Palestinian National Authority, where Spain will participate with Civil Guard forces.
