Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie) is a delicious savory Greek pie made of perfectly crispy layers of phyllo dough and a comforting filling of spinach and feta cheese.
The meal makes a great appetizer, side dish, or main entrée.
Ingredients:
1 egg
125 ml (half a cup) of milk
125ml (3/5 cup) vegetable oil
2 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon of salt
Spinach feta salt pepper
3 rolls of filo dough
poppy seed
1 egg yolk
Greek Spinach Pie
Directions:
Mix eggs, milk, oil, water, and salt in a bowl.
Lay out a sheet of filo dough, then pour a little of the mixture, and
spread it over the sheet. Repeat twice, for a total of 3 layers.
Mix feta cheese and cook spinach before spreading over the filo dough.
Roll from one end to the other to get a strip, cut into triangles, and place it on a baking sheet.
Brush every triangle with egg yolk, sprinkle with poppy seeds, and bake it at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes.
