On Friday, Spanish authorities announced that the death toll from the latest floods jumped to 205, with the number expected to rise.
The emergency services which work in the eastern Valencia region said 202 people are confirmed dead. On the other hand, the officials in Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia announced that three deaths were confirmed in both regions.
The regions that were hit by floods are still facing several issues including lake of running water, unstable telephone connections, and electricity outages.
In addition, hundreds of people are still trapped in their homes, and several roads are still blocked by debris.
According to reports, the Valencian town saw heavy rain in eight hours on Tuesday. The fallen quantities of rain were more than the amount of rain the country saw in 20 months.
