SEE-July 10: South Korea cancelled an annual military drill with the US forces on Tuesday after President ‘Donald Trump’ pledged to end the drills following a summit with North Korean leader ‘Kim Jong-Un’ in Singapore on June 12.
The drill usually takes place every August in tandem, and the drills were traditionally a controversial issue between both Koreas.
Presidential office of North Korea said that the suspension of the mutual exercises could facilitate the ongoing nuclear talks between Pyongyang and Washington, Sputnik News reported.
