Sony is preparing to launch its latest mini wireless headset, with advanced specifications and a price that’s almost twice as expensive as airpods.

The new Sony WF-XB700 headphones come in a design similar to the design of the new Samsung buds, and each small speaker is equipped with a water and dust-proof structure.

Also, internal battery of these headphones is enough to work for more than 9 hours per charge, even when used continuously to make calls and listen to music, according to engadget.com.

Sony's flagship WF-1000XM3 true wireless earbuds have been our top pick since they arrived last summer. Even before that, the company had a few true wireless models under its belt, and today it's revealing the latest option.

In general, Extra Bass headphones offer a collection of handy features, but at a price that's more affordable than those powerful and pricey 1000X devices. With the WF-XB700, Sony packed the essentials in uniquely designed earbuds and kept the price well under $150.

The WF-XB700 design is also unique. Sony opted for a "Tri-hold" construction that it says is more ergonomic and comfortable. With a more contoured form, the buds hit your ears in three places.

According to the company, it will help keep them from wiggling loose. If you want to take these on a run or wear them during a workout, they're IPX4-rated against water splashes and sweat, so you shouldn't have issues with a modest amount of moisture.

Noteworthy, Sony unveiled several key details of its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. In a virtual keynote for Game Developers Conference 2020, game developer and Sony’s lead system architect Mark Cerny spoke at length about all the new features coming to the console that is slated for launch during the Holiday season this year.

Meanwhile, the faster storage also makes efficient use of the system memory. With the PS4, because the base hard drive was slower, most of the game assets had to be stored on the 8GB GDDR5 memory and would just sit there taking up space.

With the PS5, the assets can be streamed in much faster, so only a fraction of the new 16GB GDDR6 memory has to be allocated to the assets.
